Responsibilities- Set up, operate, and troubleshoot extruders, braiding equipment, wrapping and winding machines, and test/measurement systems.
- Read and interpret setup sheets, work instructions, and technical drawings to ensure accurate production.
- Assist in developing setup and process sheets for newly introduced products.
- Perform minor to moderate preventive maintenance to support equipment reliability and uptime.
- Monitor, record, and analyze process parameters, quality inspection results, and equipment performance metrics.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and maintenance teams to drive process improvements and resolve issues.
- Support cross-functional activities as needed, including material handling, inventory staging, and quality documentation.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands‑on experience in a manufacturing environment as a setup or maintenance technician.
- Strong mechanical or electromechanical aptitude; experience with extruders, braiders, or winding/wrapping equipment is preferred but not required.
- Proven ability to work independently, manage work orders, and take full ownership of equipment setup and production runs.
- Proficient with measurement tools and testing equipment for in‑process monitoring and verification.
- Strong mathematical skills, including use of fractions, decimals, and basic algebra/trigonometry for equipment setup, tolerances, run rates, and inspections.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Comfortable working in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment, including prolonged standing and lifting up to 35 lbs regularly and 50 lbs occasionally.
- Forklift certification and experience with warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet jacks) preferred.
- Additional experience in quality inspection, CNC machining, CAD, or equipment maintenance is highly desirable.
