Laser Operator- Swing Shift

Legacy Talent Search is currently seeking candidates for a Swing Shift Laser Operator role in Donald, OR

• Perform daily machine startup and shutdown procedures on CNC cutting equipment.
• Stage raw materials to work centers in alignment with the daily production schedule.
• Utilize proper rigging techniques to safely load and unload materials from machines.
• Operate laser cutting machines with precision to produce high-quality components that meet exact specifications.
• Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to execute accurate, efficient cuts.
• Conduct regular maintenance checks on laser equipment to ensure peak performance and minimal downtime.
• Collaborate closely with engineering and fabrication teams to improve production processes and workflow efficiency.
• Perform quality inspections on finished products to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
• Assist in troubleshooting equipment issues as they arise during production.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with company policies.
• Accurately document production data and report any discrepancies or opportunities for improvement.

• Proven mechanical aptitude and experience operating laser cutting machines or similar CNC equipment.
• Strong assembly skills and proficiency in using hand tools effectively.
• Familiarity with GD&T principles preferred but not required.
• Welding experience is a plus but not mandatory.
• Demonstrated ability to perform quality inspections and ensure product accuracy.
• Basic understanding of calipers and measuring tools for precision measurements.
• Forklift operation experience is beneficial but not essential.
• Knowledge of lathe operations and tooling techniques is advantageous.
  
  Ability to lift up to 50+ lbs and stand for extended periods in a manufacturing environment.
• Excellent teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Flexibility to work 2nd shift and occasional overtime as needed.
