Heart of Oregon Corps Food Heroes Team Leader

Join Ameri Corps as a Team Leader for a 19‑week term of service, requiring a minimum of 675 hours. You will guide and support a team of Ameri Corps members working to reduce food insecurity. The role includes leading training sessions, managing community garden projects, supporting pantry operations, collecting and reporting data, and promoting community service. Upon successful completion, you will be eligible for the Ameri Corps Education Award.

• Attend and facilitate Heart of Oregon Corps trainings, including orientation, skills clinics, gardening seminars, career/college prep, and safety sessions.
• Lead community garden projects: planting, tending, weeding, harvesting, and coaching members on best practices.
• Support pantry operations: loading, delivering, sorting, setting up food, and providing customer service while modeling high‑quality service.
• Assist with data collection, ensuring accurate entry of patron information and administering food security surveys.
• Help plan, prepare, pack, and deliver food to patrons unable to visit the pantry.
• Support planning and participation in member‑led community service activities, providing guidance, motivation, and leadership.

Stipend, training, and an education award upon successful completion of service.

Permits working at another job during off hours, uniforms provided & required, permits attendance at school during off hours.
