This is a 13-week contract position.

Job DescriptionThe Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for maintaining the delivery of quality patient care by ensuring adherence to the nursing care plan. The RN supervises Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees, promoting a culture of safety for both patients and employees.
Responsibilities- Conduct nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission to develop individualized care plans.
- Identify teaching needs and goals related to patient diagnoses by collaborating with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team.
- Provide timely patient information for team conferences and maintain accurate documentation in the medical record.
- Participate in the rehabilitation program and ensure direct patient care is prioritized based on assessed health care needs.
- Initiate discharge planning and patient education from the day of admission.
- Facilitate communication among care providers to support continuity of care.
- Supervise and train ancillary nursing personnel while effectively managing time and priorities.
- Promote a safe work environment in compliance with hospital policies.
- Participate in team-building activities to foster a positive unit environment.
- Assume charge responsibilities as requested and pursue continued professional development.
- BLS Certification required prior to first shift.
- ACLS certification required prior to first shift (specific facility only).
- A minimum of two years of bedside clinical experience is required.
- ICU experience is required.
