Job Description

As a Security Officer - Petrochemical Patrol Driver in Oregon, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment. Your visible presence and exceptional customer service will be key to supporting a welcoming atmosphere.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as directed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the business and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity, with attention to the unique needs of chemical and petrochemical locations.
  • Monitor for unusual activities, potential hazards, and/or breaches of site policies, promptly reporting findings as required.
  • Maintain detailed records of activities, incidents, and any observations during patrols for site management and Allied Universal reporting purposes.
  • Assist with access control procedures, verifying credentials of personnel and visitors as required by site policies.
  • Support emergency response efforts, including providing information and assistance to emergency personnel as needed in a chemical or petrochemical environment.
  • Communicate professionally with site personnel, visitors, and Allied Universal management to address concerns and relay important information.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
