Quality Assurance Manager – Optical Manufacturing

Are you a Quality leader ready to make an impact in a high-precision manufacturing environment? We’re seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Coordinator and up-to Manager to join our team and drive excellence across our optical manufacturing operations.
In this key leadership role, you’ll oversee the plant-wide Quality Management System (QMS), champion ISO 9001:2015 compliance, and guide a talented QA team toward continuous improvement. You’ll collaborate closely with operations, engineering, and production teams to ensure that every product—from raw material to finished optical component—meets the highest standards of precision, performance, and reliability.
What You’ll Do:- Lead and maintain the company’s ISO 9001:2015 certification and all quality audits.
- Manage and continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS), including internal audits, CAPAs, supplier quality, document control, training, and management reviews.
- Oversee multiple QA teams and supervisors, driving alignment and excellence across product groups.
- Analyze production and quality data to identify trends, prevent defects, and drive corrective and preventive actions.
- Partner with Operations, Engineering, Precision Optics, and Supply Chain teams to elevate quality standards and streamline processes.
- Collaborate directly with customers to address quality concerns, ensuring satisfaction and trust.
- Lead efforts to refine and strengthen data collection and reporting to drive visibility, compliance, and improvement.
- Participate in Gemba walks to stay connected with production and identify real-time improvement opportunities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field (preferred).
- 3–5 years of quality coordinator/management experience, ideally within optics or optical manufacturing.
- Deep understanding of ISO 9001:2015 requirements and best practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience leading root cause analysis and CAPA programs.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; ERP and database administration experience a plus.
- Proven success developing and implementing quality systems, procedures, and training.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence across teams and levels.
