The Springs at Sunnyside is seeking an experienced Sous Chef who brings both strong culinary skills and a warm, professional presence to our full‑service kitchen.
High‑quality food and an exceptional dining experience are a priority in our community, and the Sous Chef plays a key role in supporting and elevating our dining team. This position works closely with the Food & Beverage Director to ensure consistent execution, exceptional presentation, and a positive kitchen culture—while setting the standard for culinary excellence.
- Ensure meals are consistently prepared and served with attractive presentation
- Prepare meals according to The Springs Living menus, recipes, portion control standards, and special dietary guidelines
- Adhere to all food safety, sanitation, and health department policies and procedures
- Resolve resident dining concerns promptly and professionally
- Ensure proper food storage, labeling, dating, and inventory standards are maintained
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, including equipment, surfaces, and floors
- Complete cleaning tasks according to established schedules
- Supervise food service team members in the absence of the Food & Beverage Director
- Assist with food inventory management and ordering as directed
- Professional culinary experience required
- Culinary certificate or formal training preferred
- Strong leadership and teamwork skills
- Commitment to quality, consistency, and resident satisfaction
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment
- No late nights
