Bakery / Deli Assistant Manager role at C&K Market Inc.

• Supervise and coordinate activities of 7-30 employees in the Bakery/Deli area.
• Interview and hire applicants; order supplies; maintain all paperwork and bookkeeping.
• Perform a variety of food preparation tasks (e.g., frying chicken, doughnuts; slicing meats and cheeses; mixing ingredients; baking breads and cakes).
• Stock shelves and cases; serve customers; take food orders by phone; wrap, weigh, and price products.
• Receive payments and make change; perform general cleaning.

• Reports to store manager regularly.
• Meet or exceed budgeted sales, wage, and gross profit objectives; maintain quality control, merchandising, sales promotion and customer service standards.
• Hire, train, appraise, and counsel staff; ensure adherence to company standards.
• Direct daily procedures for handling and manufacturing product; plan and control product flow.
• Assign schedules and supervise staff to meet merchandising and production plans.
• Ensure company policies and procedures are maintained; ensure reports and forms are adequate and submitted properly.
• Receive products and ingredients, checking for quality, correct amounts, shelf-life and proper invoicing.
• May perform any duties of other Bakery/Deli positions, including baking, frying, customer service, and cake decoration.

• Slice, wrap, weigh and price label products; stock display shelves or cases.
• Perform duties of baking, frying, or service staff as needed.
• Take customer orders; receive money and make change; keep work stations clean and sanitary.
