• Perform installs, repairs and maintenance of HVAC equipment including refrigeration, air conditioning, heating units, heat pumps, compressors, boilers, fans, economizers, humidifiers, and packaged units throughout a customer-owned mission-critical facility.
• Work with complex systems, including redundant/back-up components and building controls systems to operate HVAC systems effectively.
• Install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration systems.
• Analyze, plan and perform preventive maintenance of various HVAC systems; plan shutdowns for maintenance of pumps (chilled water, heating water, condensation).
• Install conduit, wiring, copper tubing and possibly ductwork; troubleshoot, repair and modify HVAC systems.
• Adhere to city, state, and federal regulations; maintain regulatory-required maintenance records.
• Learn and evaluate building control systems to analyze HVAC operation and efficiency.
• Order and maintain parts; work in live facilities following safe work practices (e.g., lock-out/tag-out).
• Manage relationships with major vendor accounts; maintain high quality of service.
• Collaborate with Operations teams and other trades on tasks; work in diverse environmental conditions.

• Combination of education and related experience equal to eight (8) years; exact requirements may vary by location.
• Ability to communicate effectively with management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors.
• Job-related technical knowledge to complete the job; attention to detail in a time-conscious manner.
• Active TS/SCI clearance or ability to obtain and maintain clearance.
• High School Diploma or GED; valid driver’s license;
  Journeyman level skills; CFC Universal Certification (or ability to acquire).
• Physical ability to lift 15–50 pounds, stand, climb, and work in on-call/emergency situations; on-call availability after hours and during snow events.
• Forklift/manlift operator certification (or ability to obtain).
• Proficiency with computer systems; familiarity with plant control systems is a plus.
• Experience in commercial facilities planning, training, scheduling, and safe work practices; incident-free operations.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in commercial HVAC; experience in data processing facilities is a plus.
