Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, Heavy Equipment Mechanic
Location: Boardman
Perform service, lubrication, and other preventive maintenance on trucks, farm equipment, and machinery in the shop or in the field.
Perform basic diagnosis, testing and repairs for trucks, farm equipment and machinery in the shop or in the field and report all findings and issues to appropriate parties.
Communicate with others in a professional manner that displays respect and honesty.
Perform basic recondition and repair equipment and components as required to ensure proper operation.
Order basic parts and materials required to perform maintenance and repairs following parts room and shop procedures.
Able to operate basic dairy and farm equipment such as tractors, loaders, and trucks.
Ensure all repairs are completed as required using the following standards of performance:
- Quality of work to attain an 94% efficiency level.
- Time management to attain an 82.5 % efficiency level.
- WIP (work in progress) to attain less than 4-day billing cycle
Maintain good working records for time, parts, and supplies.
Maintain and clean shop tools, equipment, and vehicles after repairs are completed and return to proper storage or staging locations.
Maintain a clean and safe work area.
Attend and participate in employee meetings.
Ensure all vehicles have a clean and professional appearance.
Be flexible in performing daily work on all types of equipment.
Maintain a neat, clean and professional appearance.
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
