Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Excavation Operator with a background in commercial site work. The ideal candidate will be experienced with operating excavators, skid steers really anything from small equipment to heavy equipment, and must demonstrate a high level of safety, efficiency, and site awareness.



Key Responsibilities

• Operate excavators and other equipment for trenching, back filling, grading, and site prep
• Perform precise excavation around utilities and fuel tank areas
• Read and interpret site plans, blueprints, and grade stakes
• Ensure OSHA and environmental compliance during all phases of excavation
• Perform daily equipment inspections and light maintenance
• Work collaboratively with site supervisors, project managers, and subcontractors
• Assist with setting forms, prepping concrete areas, and general site tasks as needed

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of excavation experience on commercial jobs
• Proven experience with fuel tank installs, UST/AST systems, or gas station work is a major plus
• Proficient in the safe operation of excavators, skid steers, loaders, and related machinery
• Ability to read construction drawings and perform to tight tolerances
• Strong understanding of soil conditions, shoring, and trench safety
• Equipment certifications are encouraged
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to regional job sites

Wages

$35.00 + per hour depending on experience.
