• Design and implement reliable, secure, and highly available services for the orchestration system
• Refactor legacy systems in collaboration with the staff+ engineering group
• Work with complex systems using programming languages and technologies such as Python, Rust, Go, and AWS
• Collaborate with multiple engineering teams, product management, UX designers, and customer support
• Mentor junior engineers on best practices and architectural decisions

• Minimum of 8 years of experience as a software engineer
• Bachelor's degree in a related field (computer science, computer engineering, etc.)
• Extensive experience designing micro-services and APIs (REST and/or gRPC)
• Strong knowledge of observability and debugging production issues at scale
• Ability to balance speed of delivery with reliability and security in service design

• Experience working asynchronously in a fully remote, distributed team
• Background in data analytics and transformation
