Overview
At Edifecs/Cotiviti, you’ll join the Engineering team responsible for the design and implementation of a multi-tenant SaaS (Software-as-a-Service) platform that is transforming the healthcare space. Your primary responsibility will be the design and implementation of Edifecs/Cotiviti’s payer and provider solutions. Your ability to drive all aspects of development autonomously and proactively is a critical requirement.
- We primarily work with Java-based solutions and AWS cloud services.
- You will routinely work with our Product Management and Innovation teams to define and implement business requirements.
- You will routinely work with our Site Reliability Engineers to continually improve our infrastructure (IaaS), and security, build, and deploy pipelines.
- Contribute as a member of an Engineering team to understand product feature requirements.
- Responsible for producing exemplary quality & scalable code and delivering features on-time.
- Work within an agile environment and contribute to sprint deliverables including design, coding, review, testing and automation tasks.
- Design for operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions.
- Document and demonstrate solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, etc.
- Maintain excellent communication with other parts of organizations outside of engineering to foster good collaboration on resolution of operational issues.
- Proactive autonomy aligned to business needs with minimum supervision is critical.
- B.tech/BE/MCA in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field required
- Strong Java development skills: 6+ years in commercial hands-on Java software development.
- Ability to work independently with minimal guidance.
- Ability to learn quickly and effectively apply new knowledge, demonstrating the desire to stay in touch with emerging technologies.
- Working with at least one database platform (SQL Server, Oracle or DB2) is a must.
- Ability to understand and create Low Level Design document is a must.
- Good knowledge of XML processing (and related technologies) using java (or 3rd party libs) is a must.
- Knowledge of GIT / SVN / Maven is a must.
- Experience with Agile Development & Continuous Integration experience is a must.
- Experience developing distributed applications potentially with Scala / Akka or similar technologies is a big plus.
- Experience with Groovy / Drools is a plus
- Experience with Web UI development and java script libraries (jQuery, Angular Js, extJs, React
JS) is a plus. - Experience with analytics tools is a plus.
- Experience in Database or Object Modeling is a plus.
- Experience in contribution to open source projects is a plus
