• Collaborate with software engineers and systems engineers to maintain Reddit’s foundational infrastructure
• Design and deliver software to enhance the availability, scalability, and efficiency of Reddit’s products
• Provide guidance and feedback on the technical direction of the compute platform
• Automate critical aspects of the development process and infrastructure operations
• Mentor backend developers and assist with complex problem‑solving

• 10+ years of experience in developing internet‑scale software, preferably in infrastructure roles
• 8+ years of experience with cloud infrastructure systems (Kubernetes, AWS, GCE ecosystems)
• Proven ability to influence large organizations on technical direction and best practices
• Experience working cross‑functionally with design, product, and data teams
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration within a service‑oriented team

• Software development experience in programming languages such as Python, Go, Rust, Java, or C++
• A strong focus on user experience, usability, scalability, and quality
