Under general supervision, the Substitute School Bus Driver operates school buses and/or other District vehicles to transport children to and from school and related activities in a safe, timely and economical manner. Duties assigned to employee include, but are not limited to, cleaning of buses and inspecting the vehicle to insure safe operation. Safety and welfare of the students is always the top priority.

The school bus driver reports to the Transportation Supervisor.

We are very interested in substitutes who would like to work in multiple departments. Let us know if you're looking for employment and would also like experience/training in Facilities, Custodial and/or Nutrition Services! We also have opportunities for substituting in buildings as classroom assistants if you are subbing in other departments.

• Valid ODE Bus Driver Certification preferred, but not required (District can provide training)
• Valid Class B CDL with Endorsements preferred, but not required (Obtain through DMV)
• Previous bus driving experience preferred, but not required
• Holds, or is able to obtain, CPR and First Aid Certification
• Ability and desire to work with children
• Ability to communicate positively and effectively
• Propane fueling experience preferred, but not required
• Fingerprinting and Criminal History Check at employee’s expense is Required once hired
