* POSITION SUMMARY:
** The Accounts Payable Specialist at Landscape East and West is responsible for managing vendor invoices, payments, and related financial processes to ensure accuracy and compliance. This role supports job costing, internal approvals, and audit preparation while providing general administrative assistance. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and proficiency with accounting software are essential for success.

* JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
*** Processing accounts payable three times per month and payments as needed.
* Maintaining vendor information and ensuring compliance with company protocol.
* Accurately posting expenses and accruals to the proper accounts.
* Managing documents through internal approval process.
* Processing job costing and comparing results to actuals.
* Routing incoming calls to the appropriate person or department.
* Assisting in creating reports for company audits.
* Tracking and issuing 1099’s on an annual basis.
* Taking & directing incoming calls from the company mainline.
* Ordering office supplies.
* Maintaining company electronic documents.

* QUALIFICATIONS:
*** 2+ years of experience in accounting preferred.
* Degree in Accounting or related field preferred (can be used as a substitute for some work experience).
* Accuracy and attention to detail.
* Ability to catch items that are outside the norm.
* Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
* Use of excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate with colleagues, clients, and vendors.
* Familiarity with Quick Books and Net Suite.
* Familiarity with the Landscape or Construction industry is a plus.

* PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
*** Must be able to sit for long periods of time
* Must be able to operate computers, phones, and filing systems
* Occasionally lift & carry up to 30 lbs.
*
* WORK SCHEDULE:
** Generally, 8:30-5pm, Monday through Friday.
Overtime may be required but is generally unlikely.
This is an in-office position.
