Role DescriptionThe Event Planning Manager oversees all requirements for various group‑related bookings secured by the Sales Department. They are responsible for enforcing the terms of the sales agreement and guiding meeting and event planners through the planning process. The manager communicates client needs and expectations to all relevant resort departments to ensure the successful execution of events and overall client satisfaction from the initial introduction through final billing.
There is a heavy focus on managing corporate meetings and retreats.
To be successful in this position, you must enjoy taking ownership of your assigned meetings & retreats in addition to wedding and social events. Attention to detail is essential. This position will report to the Director of Events and will partner closely with the Event Planning Team to ensure all departments can meet the demands of the clients successfully. Your attention to detail, organization, and genuine caring will be critical to the success of our event.
You take pride in the services you provide and feel a great sense of accomplishment when you receive the feedback from your guests that you just assisted with the "best event ever."
- Plan and detail group and event functions from start to finish for all market segments, including SMERF (Social, Military, Educational, Religious, and Fraternal), Wedding, Corporate, Government, and Association‑delivering unforgettable experiences from start to finish.
- Obtain necessary information to ensure efficient event planning, including meeting room setups, food and beverage selections, AV requirements, activity & amenity options, on and off property transportation, etc.
- Distribute information as required to all relevant departments, assemble initial planning information for group contact.
