OSP Inspector; Western Oregon

Tek Com Resources is seeking OSP Inspectors / Fielders to join our client’s team and become an integral part of their continued success throughout Western Oregon. This is a long-term contract to hire opportunity.

The Inspector / Fielder primarily deals with gathering the necessary field information on the existing aerial and underground infrastructure (Poles, pole loading, Cables, terminal cabinets GPS coordinates etc.) for the engineers to use in the design phase. (Travel is required within the market)

• Locate, inspect, and document detailed information on the existing OSP facilities : aerial and underground fiber, cables, poles, ground structures, terminals, manholes, and equipment using a specialized I-Pad application.
• Acquire the necessary field information, record verification, document preparation, required to prepare work order construction prints.
• You’ll take detailed, measurements, notes, and photos of the proposed telecommunications network construction locations, cable routes, and equipment and complete field surveys, ROW (right of way) drawings, asset documentation, etc. to determine best routes for the Fiber construction.
• You should be familiar with NESC (National Electric Safety Code);
  Telecom OSP construction, industry tools, such as O-Calc, measuring wheels, height sticks, pull finders.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Note :
  Flexibility and a willingness to step outside of the defined role at times is essential in this position.
