• Essential:
  For Disciplines other than Engineering subject Doctoral degree in Agriculture including relevant basic science with 8 years’ experience in relevant subject Scientist/Lecturer/Extension specialist or in an equivalent position in the pay band
  -3 of Rs. with Grade pay of Rs.5400/Rs.6000/Rs.7000/Rs.8000 having made contribution to research/teaching/extension as evidence by published work/innovations and impact.
• For Engineering Disciplines:
  Doctoral degree in relevant Agricultural engineering subject with 6 years’ experience as Scientist/Lecturer/Extension Specialist or in an equivalent position in the pay band-3 of Rs. with Grade pay of Rs.5400/Rs.6000/Rs.7000/Rs.8000 having made contribution to research/teaching/extension as evidence by published work/innovations and impact.
• OR Master’s degree in the relevant agricultural engineering subject with 10 years’ experience as Scientist/Lecturer/Extension Specialist or in an equivalent position in the pay band-3 of Rs. with Grade pay of Rs.5400/Rs.6000/Rs.7000/Rs.8000 having made contribution to research/teaching/extension as evidence by published work/innovations and impact.
• Desirable Specialisation in implementing extension education programmes.

Age Limit:
For the post of Sr. Scientist & Head, the age should not exceed more than 45 years. The relaxation of age for SC/ST/OBC/PH & Women candidates can be allowed as per rules.
