Position: Telemetry Technician / Monitor Tech

Location: Oregon, Ohio

Schedule: Full-time Day Shift (12-Hour Shifts)

Compensation: $18.87 to $23.00 per hour

• Continuously monitor assigned telemetry and EKG monitors, respond to alarms promptly and appropriately, and verify correct identification of basic rhythms, lethal rhythms, and artifact.
• Maintain EKG monitor alarms and ensure all alarms are addressed in a timely manner.
• Complete EKG interpretations including: rate, regularity, PRI, QRS, QTI, QTc, ST segment, waveform alterations, and rhythm interpretation.
• Ensure strip interpretations are validated by registered nurses.

• Complete and pass the EKG class for Monitor Techs and required competencies on the education platform within 30 days of starting the position, and pass any additional tests/competencies required by Select Medical.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred background as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)*, Licensed Paramedic, or RN nursing student with EKG training (
  * LPNs are limited to working as telemetry tech only).
