Position: Contract Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist

Healthcare Executive Placements Inc. (HCEPInc) is seeking a Contract Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist for a W2 Contract position based in Clackamas, OR.

Schedule

Full time, Monday through Friday, 7:15am-3:45pm

Assignment Duration

13 Weeks with high likelihood of extending

Compensation
  • Daily Rate: hourly rate between $52.00 to $55.00 per hour which equates to $2,080 to $2,200 per week (based on a 40-hour workweek).
  • Per Diems:
    Lodging $136 per day, Meals & Incidentals $80 per day and Auto Stipend $25 per day. Paid daily, 7 days a week, totaling $1,687 per week.
  • Total Weekly Compensation (Daily Rate + Per Diems):
    Between $3,767 to $3,887 per week.

Summary

The Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist supports diagnostic and interventional cardiac and neurovascular procedures by assisting physicians and clinical teams in a fast-paced catheterization laboratory environment. This role is responsible for preparing patients and equipment, operating fluoroscopy and imaging systems, maintaining a sterile field, ensuring patient safety throughout procedures, and collaborating with physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals to deliver efficient, high-quality, and compliant patient care.

Essential

Functions
  • Assists physicians during cardiac and neurovascular diagnostic and interventional procedures.
  • Prepares and positions patients for Cath Lab procedures, ensuring comfort and safety.
  • Operates imaging, monitoring, and recording equipment, including fluoroscopy and hemodynamic systems.
  • Maintains sterile technique and adheres to infection control and radiation safety standards.
  • Prepares procedure rooms, equipment, and supplies before and after cases.
  • Monitors patient status during procedures and promptly reports changes to the care team.
  • Documents procedural data accurately in accordance with department and regulatory requirements.
  • Assists with contrast administration and medication delivery per protocol.
  • Participates in emergency situations, including cardiac or neurovascular interventions.
  • Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to support efficient case flow and quality outcomes.
  • Ensures compliance with facility policies, regulatory standards, and accreditation requirements.
Qualifications
  • ARRT or RCIS certification required.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab setting required.
  • Neuro Cath Lab experience required.
  • Strong knowledge of Cath Lab procedures, equipment, and safety protocols.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team in a high-acuity environment.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and critical‑thinking skills.
