Experience

8+ years

Immediate to 15 days preferred

• CCNP certification and equivalent
• Solid hands‑on experience with LAN/WAN protocols and technologies: TCP/IP, Multicast, Ethernet, VPN,S, Wireless
• Solid hands‑on experience with routing and bridging protocols: BGP, RIP, OSPF, EIGRP, STP, Ether‑channel
• Switching experience
• Working knowledge of core networks, transport, internet, and firewall platforms
• Hands‑on experience with Enterprise Wireless Technologies, Remote Access VPN, SSL, Python scripting, Encryption, DDoS methodology
• Hands‑on experience with firewall platforms such as Fortinet, Check Point, Cisco products, Juniper
• Solid hands‑on experience on Edge Connect and other network virtualization products
• Basic Linux shell commands
• Knowledge of SD‑WAN and experience troubleshooting related issues

• Analyze and provide problem resolution to ensure timely delivery of hosting requirements
• Utilize custom monitoring software and an internal ticketing system to provide customer support
• Ensure data center policies and procedures follow customer and service provider standards
• Research, order, test, and select new technology products for data center solution delivery
• Maintain inventory tracking to ensure valid count of materials and supplies
• Monitor and respond to environmental, security, and equipment monitoring systems and perform hardware/network repair
• Apply functional knowledge of ISP disciplines, including fiber optic and electrical cabling, labeling, and lacing conforming to telecom industry standards

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
• 8+ years’ experience in a network engineer role
• Certifications:
  
  CISSP, CCNA, or CCNP required
