Senior IS Project Manager, Perioperative & Case Management Services (Virtual)
Providence is seeking a Senior IS Project Manager to join the Epic Clinical Informatics Solutions Team. This role oversees multiple clinical service lines—including Perioperative Services and Case Management—while managing clinical governance bodies, IS Roadmap projects, Epic Release initiatives, and other strategic priorities. You will lead projects to stay on track and on budget, craft communication strategies, mentor rising talent, and champion best practices that elevate collaboration and consistency across the organization.
You will anticipate risks, build strong stakeholder relationships, and turn challenges into solutions to make technology work for people.
Providence supports 100% virtual work for residents located in the following States:
Alaska, Washington, Oregon, Montana, California.
- Lead complex, high-impact technology projects that span divisions and transform care delivery.
- Plan, organize, and lead diverse teams; ensure projects stay on track, on budget, and aligned with business goals.
- Craft smart communication strategies, mentor rising talent, and champion best practices for collaboration and consistency.
- Identify and anticipate risks; build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships; provide solutions to challenges.
- Oversee clinical governance bodies, IS Roadmap projects, Epic Release initiatives, and other strategic priorities related to Epic Clinical Informatics.
- Bachelor's Degree - Project Management, Business, Healthcare Administration, Clinical Operations or Information Technology - OR - equivalent education and experience
- Minimum of 6 years of project management experience in healthcare, information technology, or a related industry; experience leading medium to large, complex projects using established PM methodologies and software
- Experience managing projects with multiple teams and navigating product development or quality lifecycle
- Experience delivering formal and informal presentations to senior and executive leadership and key stakeholders
- Experience developing, refining, and applying process standards and objectives tailored to project needs
- PM methodologies coursework/training; PMP or PMI Certification preferred
- 3+ years of experience in the healthcare industry
- Leadership & Delivery: delivers complex projects on time and within budget; maintains audit-ready artifacts
- Communication: produces tailored status reports; achieves stakeholder alignment with minimal rework
- Methodology: selects appropriate lifecycle and PM approach; enforces standards across teams
- Risk/Issue: maintains a RAID log; implements effective mitigations and tracks resolution to closure
- Collaboration/Mentorship: improves team cohesion and PM maturity through coaching
- Salary ranges are location-based and reflect base pay; additional compensation may include shift differentials, on-call, overtime, bonuses, or other incentives.
