Role Overview:

The Safety Manager is responsible for managing and executing the safety program across manufacturing sites to ensure a safe working environment and compliance with health and safety. This includes inspection, training, regulatory liaison, investigation, and continuous improvement activities.

Location: Clackamas, OR (Primary Base); requires on-site presence at both Clackamas, OR and Vancouver, WA manufacturing facilities

Standard working hours :
Monday-Friday 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, with flexibility for overtime to address issues or complete tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

Health & Safety:

  • Develop, implement, and administer occupational health and safety policies and programs at both manufacturing sites.
  • Represent the company in interactions with regulatory agencies regarding health and safety compliance.
  • Investigate safety incidents and employee injuries, recommending and overseeing corrective actions.
  • Conduct comprehensive inspections and surveys to identify hazards and ensure workplace safety.
  • Organize and conduct safety training programs and safety committee meetings.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Occupational Health, Safety, or a related field OR equivalent work experience.
  • ISO 14001 Lead Auditor Certification, preferred.
  • Certifications in Haz Mat DOT, RCRA, OSHA 30, and HAZWOPER 40, preferred.

Work Environment:

  • On-site presence required at both Clackamas, OR and Vancouver, WA.
  • Primary base of operations is Clackamas, OR.
  • Standard working hours Monday-Friday 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, with flexibility for overtime to address issues or complete tasks.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary will vary by location, qualifications, and prior experience.
  • Targeted annual bonus is based on company performance to objectives during the fiscal plan year which runs from October 1 – September 30.

  • Paid sick leave up to 10 days (80 hours) per calendar year.
