Astronics PECO, located in Clackamas, Oregon, designs and manufactures highly engineered commercial aerospace interior components and systems for the aerospace industry. We specialize in Passenger Service Units (PSUs) which incorporate air handling, emergency oxygen, electrical power management and cabin lighting systems. We also manufacture a wide range of fuel tank access doors that meet stringent strength, fuel sealing and anti‑corrosion requirements.

We are seeking to add a Chromate Operator to join our great team. This position will be on day shift with a regular schedule of Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm. Overtime may be required occasionally.

• Perform titrations and measure pH balances in chemical processing area
• Load parts into racks, submerge in cleaning and chromate tanks, monitor and unload
• Consistently follow chemical safety practices
• Empty, clean, and refill chemical processing tanks
• Treat waste through neutralization, filtration, and evaporation
• Hand clean, sand to remove burrs, trim, tap, straighten, and bond using a variety of machinery to alter shape
• Degrease parts by placing product in parts washer
• Operate micrometers, dial and digital calipers, dial indicators, veneer and thread gages, go/no‑go pins, hand‑held sanders, grinders, drills and taps
• Visually inspect surfaces for flaws and smoothness and make adjustments accordingly
• Wrap, pack, and label product for final shipment
• Sandblast parts using a sandblaster cabinet
• Maintain area for cleanliness, including sweeping, cleaning, and washing of equipment
• Ability to wear full face respirator and supplied air hood
• Operate overhead cranes
• Track inventory of materials used in area
• Attend Quality Manual Standards Training and apply Quality Standards accordingly
• Observe safety and security procedures; report potentially unsafe conditions; use equipment and materials properly
• Report consistently to work and is on time
• Able to work an eight hour shift

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• One to two years of previous Chromate experience and/or training is preferred
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
• Ability to perform basic math computations such as add, subtract, multiply, and divide

• Must be a US Person (under ITAR rules) to be eligible
