Madden Industrial Craftsmen is seeking an encapsulation and packaging machine operator for a graveyard shift opportunity in Clackamas OR. The person in this position will operate machinery, support troubleshooting, and maintain production.
Pay$28 / hr
ShiftGraveyard (10PM-6 : 30AM SUN-THURS)
Machine Operator Responsibilities- Operate automatic encapsulation and complex packaging machines.
- Set up, changeover, breakdown, and minor adjustments of machines and fixtures (using hand tools).
- Evaluate production output and ensure machines run at optimal levels producing quality results.
- Troubleshoot problems with production and take corrective action.
- Assist and support other staff; may perform encapsulation or packaging duties as needed.
- Move stack load, buckets, tubs, boxes, and bins of materials/products.
- Inspect capsules and packaged products per inspection guidelines to ensure quality standards.
- Complete documentation accurately and legibly per established guidelines.
- Maintain clean and orderly work area including cleaning machines and surrounding areas.
- Check and correct any conditions not conducive to a safe, clean workplace; report safety problems immediately.
- Prioritize maintenance requests and help troubleshoot quality issues.
- Train others and participate in task forces to improve company procedures or operations.
- Must pass and re-qualify annually for all job-related tests and certifications required for cGMP quality environment.
- Other duties as assigned including polishing capsules, hand sorting, and washing parts.
- Ability to work overtime and weekends as required.
- High school diploma or GED
- 13 years experience in a manufacturing environment (pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, electronic, chemical, cosmetics, food).
- Mechanical aptitude; prior packaging equipment experience preferred.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English; basic shop math, algebra, and computer skills.
- Experience with FDA / cGMP compliance preferred.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, able to follow policies/procedures and meet schedules independently.
- Ability and willingness to learn variable processes.
