Our client, a leading manufacturing organization specializing in food production, is seeking a Manufacturing Maintenance Mechanic to join their team. As a Manufacturing Maintenance Mechanic you will be part of the Maintenance Department supporting the plant operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.
Manufacturing Maintenance MechanicLocation:
Clackamas, OR Pay Range: $31.97
Shift: 2nd shift (3pm to 11pm, five days a week) or 3rd shift (10pm to 6:30am, five days a week). Flexibility for nights, weekends, and holidays is required during the probationary period. What's the Job?
- Observe and adhere to all safety policies, GMP, and Global Food Safety practices.
- Lockout/Tagout procedures.
- Identify and troubleshoot complex mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, and hydraulic issues on plant equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical problems and determine appropriate repairs using blueprints, manuals, and parts catalogs.
- Dismantle, repair, and reassemble machinery to ensure optimal operation.
- Rebuild/fabrication of equipment
- Welding mild and stainless steel
- Complete work orders
- Maintain logs and records
- Investigates electrical and instrument equipment failures and develops action plans to eliminate repetitive failures
- Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation
- Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests
- Other duties as assigned within the scope of the role
- Perform preventative maintenance and respond promptly to maintenance requests to maximize equipment efficiency.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Strong mechanical and electrical repair skills.
- Knowledge of fabrication, machine shop tools, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
- Ability to read schematics, electrical diagrams, and blueprints.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, bend, stoop, twist, and maintain good coordination and balance.
- LME (Limited Maintenance Electrical) License preferred
