Overview
Nashville General Hospital is hiring for a full-time Registered Nurse in our Operating Room (OR) in Nashville, TN. This is an on-call position.
We seek an experienced OR Registered Nurse (RN) Circulator to join our OR unit who will embrace our commitment to providing quality care to every patient and family member.
Responsibilities- Demonstrate the ability to perform and operate technical equipment.
- Assess a patient’s condition before surgery and provide care for patients in recovery.
- Position patients on the operating table and assist surgeons during surgical procedures.
- Clean surgical equipment and operating rooms to maintain a sterile environment.
- Educate patients on best practices for recovery, including pain management and wound care.
Skills & Qualifications
- Assessing patient condition and documenting observations according to the facility’s charting practices
- Understanding applicable state regulations and following compliance practices
- Graduate of an accredited associate degree, diploma, or baccalaureate degree program in Nursing
- Current licensure or permit to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Tennessee or a compact state; BLS required; ACLS preferred
- One year of clinical nursing experience and operating room (OR) experience required
- Certified Post Anesthesia Nurse (CPAN) and Certified Ambulatory Perianesthesia Nurse (CAPA) preferred
