Registered Nurse, RN | LDRP Break Lunch Team (BLT) – 9 hr shiftsLocation:
Gresham, OR – Salary: $80,000 – $115,000
Under general supervision and in collaboration with other members of the health care team, the RN uses clinical judgment to diagnose and treat human responses to actual or potential health problems. The RN is responsible for assessing, planning, directing, providing, and evaluating nursing care for patients and coordinating nursing care activities with other health care disciplines.
Essential Responsibilities- Assessment:
Perform accurate multi-system assessments, including biophysical, psychosocial, environmental, self-care, education needs, and discharge planning needs. Identify deviations from normal on routine lab diagnostic tests and reassess patients throughout hospitalization. Perform complete discharge assessment. - Planning:
Develop an individual nursing plan of care sensitive to the developmental needs of the patient. Coordinate patient care activities and discharge planning with hospital, clinic departments, and community agencies. Develop patient teaching plan and document on care plan or teaching plan. Appropriately delegate patient care activities based on patient condition and scope of practice of other health care providers. Establish priorities for patient care and classify acuity level of assigned patients. - Implementation:
Initiate appropriate measures based on protocol for management of medical and/or surgical patients. Base nursing care on protocol in place for each patient and correctly carry out physician's plan of care. Accurately document in the EMR and according to policy and procedure. Utilize a multidisciplinary approach when appropriate. Perform all necessary procedures correctly, use available teaching plans for patient teaching needs, accurately calculate and administer medications, and initiate appropriate measures in emergency situations. - Evaluation:
Evaluate assessment methods, plan of care, and patient response to treatment. Participate in unit quality assurance activities.
- Minimum nine (9) months of RN experience.
- Minimum one (1) year of CVL experience OR two (2) years of full‑time critical care experience in a high volume setting (e.g., CVICU, Neuro/Trauma ICU) within the last two (2) years.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Registered Nurse License (Oregon).
- Basic Life Support;
Advanced Cardiac Life Support. - American Nurses Credentialing Center Certificate – Cardiac Vascular Nursing, Radiology Nurse Certificate, Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist Certificate, or Critical Care Registered Nurse Certificate within 12 months of hire.
- Computer keyboarding skills.
- Procedural sedation experience.
- Previous health care experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing or related field.
- Minimum two (2) years of CVL experience OR three (3) years of full‑time critical care experience in a high-volume setting (e.g., CVICU, Neuro/Trauma ICU) and certification in either CCRN, CRN, CVN, or RCIS at hire.
