Hardscape Foreman​/Crew Leader

Nelson Landscape, Inc. is looking for enthusiastic and energetic team members to help fulfill our vision of providing exceptional landscaping to our clients. Compensation: $24.00+ based on experience/qualifications

Experience: 3+ years preferred

Type: Seasonal - March/April to December weather permitting

• Up to 14 Hours per day depending on season
• Seasonal employment March/April to December weather permitting

• Complete landscape and hardscape installations with great precision and efficiency
• Install paver patios, stone, and segmental block retaining walls
• Install low voltage landscape lighting
• Read landscape design and construction plans
• Direct activities on the job site, that include but not limited to, coordinating workflow, hands on work, and operating machinery
• Communicate production goals with crew members
• Ensure that installation of work is performed to industry and company standards
• Supervise and work with other employees, leading and training by example
• Follow safety rules and ensure crew members are using all required PPE
• Maintain a clean and safe job site

• Experience doing hardscapes (3+ years preferred)
• Valid driver’s license and/or CDL preferred
• Ability to lift 75+ pounds repetitively
• Proficiently operate a variety of equipment such as skid steers, backhoes, compactors, grinders, drills, chop saws, and other equipment as needed
• Highly motivated, self-driven, and poses a positive attitude for the entire work shift
• Communication skills (English/Spanish bilingual is a preferred but not required)

Pay is competitive and based on experience. We value employees that have additional experience, training, and certifications and reward accordingly.

• Starting wage based on experience/qualifications $24.00+ per hour
• Time and a half after 8 hours and over 40 hours
• Additional pay/benefits available after probation period such as raises, profit sharing, paid holidays, time off, and plant/material discounts
