Student - Guest Services Usher

Utah Valley University is seeking a student to assist the UCCU Events Center. Guest Service Student Employees must be prepared to work in an exciting and fast-paced environment. Joining the Event Center team at UVU means exposing yourself to some of the best concerts, shows, athletics, expos, and parties in Utah Valley. As a staff member of Utah County’s premier event center, you join us in ensuring a positive, safe experience for our hundreds of thousands of patrons annually.

• Guest Service Ushers contribute to the successful execution of events by ensuring the safety of guests and compliance with campus, state, and industry protocols.

• Verifying correct tickets, helping patrons locate seats, providing information on events, assisting in parking areas, clearing the arena, and making lasting positive relationships.

• Other duties as assigned are all crucial daily activities for Event Ushers.

• Must be a current UVU Student.
• Graduation with a high school diploma or GED.

• Problem-solving skills.
• Interpersonal verbal communication and decision-making skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to follow written and verbal procedures.
• Ability to meet and work with people of diverse backgrounds.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
• Able to be attentive to, aware of, and available to assist patrons.
