Job Title: Tax Manager
Company: Clyde Companies, Inc.
Job DescriptionThe tax manager ensures that the company tax strategy complies with local, state, and federal tax laws in all states in which we operate. They will also oversee the yearly tax filings and assist in tax related audits of all legal entities.
Job Responsibilities- Provide excellent tax expertise and planning to maintain tax compliance for all legal entities in the states in which we do business.
- Develop and maintain tax strategies and policies that maintain compliance with local and federal tax laws and regulations.
- Perform tax research and analysis for tax compliance matters.
- Prepare, review, and sign-off on federal and state tax returns for all legal entities.
- Ensure accurate data management and audit planning and execution to mitigate the company’s audit risk.
- Prepare business tax projections and compiled financial statements for review.
- Review sales tax entries and monitor sales tax exemptions for all legal entities in the states in which we do business.
- Advise on a full spectrum of corporate and individual tax services including planning, research, compliance, and acquisitions activities.
- Consult with company leaders to make recommendations on business and process improvements.
- Perform detailed reviews of tax returns and related paperwork.
- Monitor legislative and regulatory tax law developments and communicate the effects of these developments as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Excellent knowledge of tax accounting, tax compliance, and all types of tax returns.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
- Comprehensive knowledge of GAAP.
- High emotional intelligence.
- Professional written and verbal communication skills.
- Sound computer skills, including strong abilities with Microsoft Excel & Office applications.
- Able to collaborate with team members including senior executives.
- Demonstrate high moral and ethical standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
- Master's degree in accounting or related field (preferred).
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
- 5+ years of related tax experience.
- Light exerting up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally.
- Repetitive motion associated with operating a computer and other office equipment.
- Inside, climate-controlled working conditions.
- Occasional travel and outdoor working conditions.
