Payroll Specialist

Department: Payroll

Location: Orem, UT

Status: Full-Time

Compensation: $50K - $56K

We’re looking for a Payroll Specialist who takes pride in getting the details right, thrives on solving problems, and wants their work to make a difference for real people every pay period. This role is based in our Orem, Utah office, where you’ll join a fast-moving Payroll and Finance team supporting employees across the U.S. We’re looking for someone with strong payroll experience who can navigate complex systems, meet deadlines with confidence, and help build scalable processes as we grow.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Process bi-weekly and off-cycle payrolls accurately and on time across multiple states.
  • Review and reconcile payroll data including hours, commissions, deductions, and benefit contributions.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and reporting requirements.
  • Partner closely with HR, Accounting, and Benefits to resolve payroll discrepancies and ensure accurate reporting.
  • Support audits, reporting requests, and process improvements with precision and professionalism.
What You Bring:
  • 2-5+ years of experience in payroll processing for a mid- to large-sized organization (multi-state preferred).
  • Deep understanding of wage and hour laws, tax compliance, and payroll best practices.
  • Experience with HRIS or PEO systems (Insperity, Paycom, or similar) - Excel skills are a must.
  • A reputation for accuracy, discretion, and follow-through.
  • Value communication and want to work with others who care about the details as much as you do.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Regular periods of sitting or standing may be required by this position. In addition, this position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
