Material Handler Operator

Mity-Lite is a leading manufacturer of multi-purpose conference, banquet, and institutional furniture based in Orem, Utah. We are looking to add one person to our team. This person will work in a production environment and is tasked with keeping workstations fully stocked with materials, thus controlling the continuous flow of productivity. Come join our team!

Current operations are first shift, Monday – Friday:5am - 1:30pm or 8am-4:30pm with occasional overtime after shift or on Friday

Typical Day:

• Cycle Count Inventory
• Forklift Driving
• Deliver Material from the Warehouse to the Production line.
• Ensure material in the warehouse is organized and labeled correctly.
• 5S area.
• Customer Service to production is key with open honest communication.
• Remove unneeded material from the production line.
• Maintain ERP system accuracy for material in the warehouse.
• Reclass material from one location to another.
• Be proficient at both the mobile and desktop version of our ERP system.
• Troubleshoot material issues.
• Understand the different parts and what part of the finished product they represent.
• Maintain Inventory accuracy both physically and systematically for raw parts.
• Other duties as assigned

Required Skills:

• Prior Forklift experience
• Ability to balance current workload while planning ahead to coordinate future tasks for the team
• Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly
• Ability to pay attention to the minute details of a project or task
• Work independently and as a team to fulfill department goals or objectives.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally

The Material Handler will place the needs of their group as top priority. This is a key position that will be responsible for providing materials and parts to their groups, so they do not need to leave their workstations, so the group members can focus on the task at hand.
