Advocates of guest experience who welcome, thank, and exceed guest service expectations by focusing on guest interaction, loyalty enrollment and store cleanliness. Advocates of both in-store and digital services and solutions who are knowledgeable about capabilities and features that drive adoption and loyalty. Empowered to make shopping quick and easy for guests at the checklanes, guest services, gift registry, pick-up and drive up while ensuring exceptional quality.

  • Communicating and interacting with guests to build a welcoming guest experience
  • Blending problem solving and decision making to positively impact the guest experience and resolve guest concerns
  • Adapting to different guest interactions and situations
  • Promoting and engaging around various benefits, offerings and services
Typical Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard
  • Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you complete daily tasks
  • Engage with guests to help solve their specific needs
  • Inform guests about current promos, store activities and events
  • Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services available in the total store and in your area to solve issues and improve the guest experience
  • Thank guests and acknowledge their choice to shop at Target
  • Know and discuss the benefits of Target Loyalty programs and assist with application or sign-up as needed
  • Scan and bag items efficiently, accurately and in compliance with safety standards
  • Minimize guest wait time while maintaining service and accuracy
  • Explain how to use features in the Target App including Wallet
  • Be familiar with Order Pick-Up, Drive Up and online ordering; guide guests to enroll, activate and use these features
  • Assist with returns following policy and seek leadership when needed
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area and assist with stocking during store hours
  • Uphold a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance
  • Work safely; comply with safety policies and training; report hazards
  • Support guest services such as order pick up, Drive-up orders and returns while complying with relevant laws
  • All other duties based on business needs

  • Ability to educate guests about products and services
  • Ability to operate handheld scanners and other technology
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Ability to stay focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
Basic Expectations
  • Accurately handle checkout operations and support cash office duties as needed
  • Safely scan, handle and move merchandise; lifting up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 44 pounds occasionally
  • Flexible schedule (nights, weekends, holidays); reliable attendance
  • Ability to stay mobile for the duration of a shift
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures and conditions (Drive-Up, carryout, etc.)
