This is an on‑site position at our branch in Orem, UT. Must be able to work Saturdays! Active P&C License is preferred, not required.
Essential Functions- Use sales techniques and strong product knowledge to identify customer‑specific needs to generate new sales, retain existing insureds and grow overall insurance book of business. Effectively overcome objections to close the sale and/or retain the insured.
- Work to meet or exceed targets as defined in the sales incentive plan and as assigned by the Insurance Agent’s manager.
- Conduct an insurance review for clients to identify a range of suitable products. Use provided tools and applicable underwriting guidelines to assess risk, recommend appropriate products and related coverage, quote, bind and issue policies.
- Establish rapport with the insured that enhances the member’s affinity to the AAA brand and results in greater member satisfaction and loyalty.
- Proactively solicit and market to business and/or community events, perform outbound calling, work marketing lists, and cross‑sell/up‑sell new and existing customers.
- Respond to customer inquiries and requests relating to insurance products and membership.
- Research and resolve complex customer service issues. Often assist the insured in initiating the first notice of loss on claims.
- Strong sales skills with a history of effectively developing, tracking, following up on and closing leads.
- Advanced consultative selling techniques utilizing thorough product knowledge.
- High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- 2–4 years of relevant insurance industry work experience preferred.
- Currently possesses, or has the ability to acquire active and unrestricted state‑issued license(s) required to place property and casualty insurance.
$15.85 hourly + bonus/commission
