Heavy Duty Alignment Technician | Orem, UT

Nexeo Staffing is seeking an experienced Heavy Duty Alignment Technician to join our team. In this hands-on role, you will diagnose and perform precision alignments, wheel balancing, and tire services on commercial trucks and other vehicles while delivering dependable, high-quality service to our customers. The ideal candidate brings strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills, a commitment to workplace safety, and the technical expertise to accurately identify and resolve vehicle service needs.

This position also offers opportunities to expand your skills through training in areas such as brakes, suspension, axles, and preventative maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and perform vehicle alignments on commercial trucks and other vehicles based on customer needs.

• Balance wheel assemblies and perform commercial tire services.

• Inspect vehicles, identify mechanical concerns, and recommend appropriate repairs or services.

• Perform or develop proficiency in additional commercial vehicle services, including brake, suspension, axle, oil, and lubrication services.

• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and determine appropriate repair solutions.

• Accurately document all services and repairs performed on service tickets.

• Properly operate, maintain, and care for tools and equipment.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

• Follow all company safety procedures and perform work in accordance with established safety standards.

• Protect company equipment, tools, inventory, and other assets.

• Provide professional, customer-focused service and communicate effectively with customers and team members.

• Maintain reliable attendance and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or completion of a relevant trade school program.

• 3–5 years of related automotive, commercial truck, alignment, or mechanical service experience.

• Valid driver’s license.

• Tire Industry Association (TIA) ATS certification, applicable ASE certifications, and required vendor-provided training.

• Strong knowledge of commercial tires, automotive systems, vehicle maintenance, and repair procedures.

• Experience diagnosing, troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing mechanical systems.

• Knowledge of automotive emissions, engine management, and electrical systems.

• Ability to select and safely operate the appropriate tools and equipment for each job.

• Strong critical-thinking, problem-solving, and diagnostic skills.

• Customer-service mindset with the ability to assess customer needs and provide quality service.

• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position and consistently perform work in a safe manner.

Pay

$25.00-$30.00 per hour

Schedule

Full Time | Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
