Bookkeeper

A well-established restaurant management organization in South Orlando is experiencing significant growth and is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper with a minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience. This is a full-time, onsite role (Monday–Friday) offering a salary of up to $55,000 along with a comprehensive benefits package.

• Managing full-cycle Accounts Payable (manual and automated), including 2‑way matching and expense approvals.
• Preparing and issuing manual checks as well as processing ACH payments.
• Exporting AP files and utilizing Adobe to maintain an organized, automated filing system.
• Collaborating with colleagues across departments to streamline accounting processes.
• Performing Accounts Receivable functions, including invoicing and monitoring AR aging reports.
• Assisting with special projects as assigned.
• Verifying invoices against purchase orders and confirming goods/services were received before issuing vendor payments.
• Managing payroll‑related journal entries and allocations to the general ledger by location, and preparing, finalizing, and submitting payroll reports for review by the VP of Accounting/Controller.
• Preparing journal entries and related general ledger tasks.
• Taking on additional responsibilities as you become acclimated to the business and industry.

• Minimum of 3+ years of experience in AP/AR and journal entry functions (5+ years preferred).
• High school diploma required;
  Associate’s degree preferred.
• Prior accounting experience in the restaurant or construction industry (2+ years) highly preferred.
• Proficiency in Excel (basic to intermediate).
• Experience with Sage, Oracle, or other restaurant accounting software strongly preferred.
