We are looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join a team in Orlando, Florida in a contract position with the potential to become permanent. This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys working with financial records, maintaining accuracy, and keeping payment activity organized and on schedule. The person in this role will support day-to-day payable operations by reviewing invoices, applying proper coding, and helping ensure timely disbursements while contributing to a smooth accounting workflow.

Responsibilities:

• Process incoming invoices by reviewing details for accuracy, completeness, and proper approval before entry.
• Assign correct general ledger or expense codes to invoices to support accurate financial tracking.
• Prepare and assist with routine check runs to ensure vendors are paid within established timelines.
• Enter payable data into the accounting system and maintain organized documentation for audit and recordkeeping purposes.
• Reconcile invoice information against supporting records and follow up on discrepancies with internal teams or vendors.
• Monitor payment status and help resolve issues related to outstanding invoices or unmatched items.
• Support accounts payable reporting and assist with maintaining efficient workflows within the department.
