Accounts Payable Specialist

A well established infrastructure and construction services company in the Greater Orlando area is looking for an accounts payable specialist to join a lean, hands on finance team. You will own the invoice to payment cycle, including creating purchase orders and matching vendor invoices, in a fast moving environment where accuracy and dependability matter most.

• 2+ years of hands on accounts payable and/or invoicing experience
• Experience creating purchase orders and matching invoices to POs
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to keep a steady pace
• Comfortable working with vendors in a busy, sometimes high pressure setting
• Dependable attendance and a professional, team first approach
• Nice to have: construction or project based accounting, plus exposure to ERP or spend management platforms

• Enter and process vendor invoices accurately and on time
• Review invoices for proper coding, approvals, and supporting documentation
• Create purchase orders and match invoices to POs, resolving discrepancies
• Maintain vendor accounts and respond to vendor inquiries
• Reconcile vendor statements and research open items
• Support the weekly payment run
• Assist with additional accounting and administrative duties as needed
