Good News Global specializes in equipping and sending chaplains to correctional facilities. Under the direct supervision of the chaplain, this position will perform a variety of functions and confidential duties related to the administration and oversight of the chaplain’s office.

• Clearly and effectively communicate and interact with persons who contact the chaplain’s office with a balance of politeness, concern, and professionalism.
• Exhibit an encouraging and helpful presence with correctional officers and facility staff.
• Represent Good News and the chaplaincy with Christian excellence and dignity.
• Display the love of Jesus with all inmates, correctional officers and facility staff.
• Be knowledgeable of a wide range of ministry and facility administration policies, procedures and other pertinent information.
• Be familiar with all facility policies and procedures as it relates to this position and that of the chaplain and volunteers.
• Within parameters established by the chaplain, respond to general inmate requests and deliver books and materials throughout the facility.
• Assist with administrative items such as filing, copying and organizing.
• Assist with various projects and other duties as assigned by the chaplain.
