Position description:

The essential function of this position is to provide advanced administrative, organizational, and clerical support. The position works under the supervision of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Director and the Osceola County Mediation Coordinator.

This position provides support through maintaining mediation records and referrals; provide professional services to litigants and mediators in-person, electronically, and over the phone; and efficient data entry. Performs clerical tasks such as processing incoming mail and deliveries; preparing materials for meetings or conferences; shredding, filing, scanning, faxing, or photocopying; and other duties as assigned. The ideal candidate will also possess working knowledge of computers, word processing, and database software and must be able to exercise a high degree of judgment, tact, diplomacy, and maintain confidentiality on sensitive issues.

A bachelor’s degree in public or business administration, criminal justice, psychology, sociology, pre-law, or a closely related social science field is required. Relevant experience may substitute for required education on a year-for-year basis.

This is a state funded part-time position requiring 20 hours a week.
