Job SummaryAs a Procurement Specialist, you will source complex materials and services through competitive processes, new product development, and exploration of new supplier offerings. You will lead the competition, redesign, and procurement of innovative solutions that drive significant cost savings and enhance productivity across the organization. Additionally, you will establish and maintain strong supplier relationships while utilizing tools and processes to improve supplier performance and drive continuous cost improvements.
Responsibilities- Direct Part Procurement
- Work within the ERP system to evaluate and issue purchase orders to suppliers
- Manage all procurement aspect-specific part categories, such as excess and shortages, past due purchase orders, and daily receipts of purchased parts
- Support RMA process for assigned part categories
- Track and publish supplier KPI’s and develop improvement action plans when necessary
- Execute annual PPV activities with assigned supply base and negotiate to generate positive PPV
- Document process and procedures to support procurement department and drive continuous improvement
- Drive improvement to reduce excess and obsolete inventory and identify potential suppliers, visiting existing suppliers and building / maintaining relationships
- Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of three to five years’ experience
- Significant ERP experience (IFS experience is a plus)
- Skilled use of all Microsoft Office products
- Strong working knowledge of mechanical procurement concepts and technical drawings
- Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques and ability to “read” the market
- CPSM Certification
- Work hours:
8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday – Friday - In‑office less than 25% of travel
