The Floater / Substitute is responsible for assisting the classroom lead teacher with the general supervision and management of a class of children. He or she must be knowledgeable in development appropriate practices; have flexible hours that cover the needs of the center. The Floater / Substitute is responsible for assisting teachers in supervising all children in their room ensuring activities and curriculum are adhered to as required by the Director.

• Responsible for planning and implementing proprietary curriculum, and completing assessments and reports for the children
• Helps and supervises children during all activities
• Counsel children when social, academic, or adjustment problems arise
• Ensures that the appearance, cleanliness, and safe environment of the classroom are appropriately maintained
• Helps children with meal times and clean‑up
• Helps with all academy and classroom paperwork, such as daily notes, student accident reports, and attendance reports
• Attends and participates in staff meetings, academy events, and parent meetings as requested
• Performs other duties as assigned

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must meet all requirements stipulated by the state for this position
• Must be able to adapt to teaching in any of the classrooms
• Pleasant/friendly demeanor and an outgoing personality
• Highly professional and dependable
• Must be able to interact appropriately with students of all ages and skill levels as well as with parents, coworkers, and management
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds, sit on the floor and interact with children
