Role Summary

The Superintendent 2 will plan, manage, and execute all aspects of assigned projects with some complexity. You will manage material and equipment, assist with people management, ensure documentation is complete, and meet project goals to achieve timely and profitable completion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the company’s safety culture and demonstrate commitment to an injury‑free environment.
  • Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and programs such as Safety, Quality, and EEO for small or major projects.
  • Develop work plans for subcontractors and self‑performed work.
  • and manage care, custody, and control of the project site.
  • Lead daily stand‑ups, weekly trade meetings, and project OAC meetings.
  • Create, manage, and adjust the project’s schedule in conjunction with the Project Manager.
  • Track and monitor project budget and costs using the project management system.
  • Communicate key project information to owners, design team, governing authorities, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Maintain project documentation, update drawings, logs, diaries, and inspection notebooks.
  • Support

    OC (Material and Other Costs) and DLSC (Dunn Logistics Service Center) procurement and approval processes.
  • Manage time‑card approval to ensure accurate reporting of hours and proper cost codes.
  • Ensure quality compliance through specifications, in‑house QA/QC, and external resources.
  • Assist in project closeouts, pre‑punch activities, and coordination with owner and architect.
  • Identify and manage project risks, schedule, and cost impacts.
  • Recruit top talent and promote a culture of diversity and inclusion.
Additional Core Responsibilities
  • Manage fairly complex stand‑alone projects from start to finish.
  • Assume responsibility for management, scheduling, production, safety, and quality on your project or portion of the project.
  • Identify, understand, and actively manage project risks.
  • Use experience and knowledge to identify problems and recommend solutions.
  • Manage deliverables from internal resources such as IPS, logistics, etc.
  • Participate in project pursuits and negotiations with owners and architects.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Perform work accurately, completely, and timely.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, scheduling software, project management and accounting software.
  • Knowledge of construction processes, Lean philosophy, self‑performance, and labor productivity.
  • Ability to manage budgets and maximize profitability.
  • Understanding of document changes and impacts on schedule.
  • Ability to build and collaborate with internal and external teams.
Education & Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED (Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field preferred).
  • 5+ years construction experience; 3+ years field supervision.
  • Experience with Lean principles preferred.
Working Environment
  • Valid and unrestricted driver’s license required.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • May require travel, relocation, and non‑traditional hours.
  • Exposure to extreme conditions (hot or cold) possible.
