Construction Estimator - Shell Construction

Location: Metro West, Orlando, FL

Our client is a rapidly‑growing leader in shell construction. They are looking for an Estimator with Plan Swift experience and a strong understanding of Slab, Block, Framing, Roofing, Siding, and Door & Trim scopes.

• Review and interpret residential and commercial construction plans and specifications.
• Perform accurate quantity takeoffs using Plan Swift for the following scopes:
  Concrete Slabs & Footings, CMU Block Masonry, Wood Framing (floor, wall, roof systems), Roofing (shingles, tile, metal), Exterior Siding (Hardie, vinyl, stucco base), Doors, Windows, and Interior Trim Packages.
• Create and submit detailed cost estimates and scope breakdowns.
• Collaborate with project managers, field supervisors, and suppliers to maintain accurate pricing and availability.
• Track changes in project scope and update estimates accordingly.
• Maintain database of historical job costs for future benchmarking.

• 2+ years of estimating experience in residential or commercial construction.
• Proficiency in Plan Swift is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of relevant construction materials and methods across all listed scopes.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in takeoffs and proposals.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Excel or estimating‑related software a plus.

• Experience with Florida building codes and permitting.
• Background in working directly with builders, developers, or GCs.
• Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously.

$60-75k+ base (negotiable), plus lucrative bonus opportunities.

Paid Time Off.

Full-time, Mon‑Friday, on‑site (some flexibility).
