Commercial HVACR Estimator

We are seeking an HVAC/R Estimator to become a part of our team. You will be responsible for all aspects of HVAC estimation which includes utilizing information, data, and phot/video collected by our Outside Sales Team, accompanying Outside Sales reps on site walks to acquire necessary info for, and organizing vendor information to compile accurate estimates for potential commercial HVAC/R projects.

This candidate must be well organized, hand-on, self-motivated and dependable with the drive to succeed in a challenging and fast paced environment.

• Competitive Salary Range: $63,520 - $75,520/yr + includes car allowance and quarterly bonus potential

• Accurately estimate plan/spec and design/build HVAC systems using computer estimating systems and other related software
• Maintain estimating logs and unit costs for all projects
• Establish and maintain vendor relationships
• Perform site surveys and attend pre-bid walkthroughs
• Interact with the sales & project management teams to ensure all projects are performed under budget & according to plans and specifications
• Collecting information about the client’s business needs and goals, including square footage requirements, desired temperature range, ventilation requirements, etc.
• Calculating the cost of materials & labor required to complete the project, including taxes and fees to ensure we maintain required margins
• Creating an estimate of materials & labor costs based on the scope of the job, including any materials that need to be purchased & any equipment that needs to be rented or purchased
• Preparing proposals for projects according to scope and cost for Outside Sales Reps
• Communicating regularly with Outside Sales Team, Commercial Sales Manager and appropriate Service Managers or Field Supervisors to provide updates on project progress & address any concerns or issues

• 5 + years of estimating experience in the HVAC/R industry with a proven track record is required
• Ability to read and comprehend blueprints and other construction documents
• Knowledge of different types of HVAC systems and their components
• Possess strong verbal and written communication skills; must be able to hear and speak clearly with professional standard grammar.
• Experience with Service Titan & XOi software and estimating systems preferred
• Thorough understanding of related trades for the purposes of coordinating various project estimates
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
• Deadline and detail-oriented
• Must be able to hear and speak clearly with professional standard grammar.
• Bilingual in English & Spanish a plus
