We are seeking a Senior Electrical Estimator to lead the estimating efforts for large-scale electrical construction projects in the commercial, institutional, infrastructure, and industrial sectors. This position requires a deep understanding of complex electrical systems, strong analytical skills, and a proven ability to produce accurate and competitive estimates for projects ranging from healthcare, mixed-use, distribution centers, infrastructure facilities, and commercial complexes.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead the preparation of detailed electrical cost estimates for design-build, plan/spec, and negotiated bid projects.
• Analyze drawings, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare accurate time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
• Develop scopes of work and assist with preconstruction planning and scheduling.
• Coordinate and solicit bids from vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors.
• Conduct value engineering assessments and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits to assess existing conditions and risk factors.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients throughout the bidding and handoff process.
• Maintain and update historical cost data and estimating databases.
• Mentor junior estimators and contribute to department process improvements.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
• Minimum 5 years of electrical estimating experience in construction
• Proficiency with estimating software (e.g. Accubid Classic, Live Count, Trimble), and MS Office
• Excellent multi-tasking, analytical, organizational, negotiation & communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and professionalism
