RK&K's Construction Engineering Inspection and Construction Management Division is hiring Senior Construction Inspectors in and around the Orlando, Florida area. As a Senior Construction Inspector with RK&K, you will strengthen our construction engineering and inspection business while leading complex and routine inspections on projects including highway, bridge, design/design-build projects. Opportunities for growth and training into construction management and office engineering careers.
Essential Functions:
- Provide construction management support, including inspection and monitoring of construction structures to ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Fully engage in solving complex problems to provide technical evaluation and sound solutions
- Monitor the activities of other Inspectors
- Ability to communicate effectively across different platforms with project management, clients, stakeholders, and contractors
- Interface with clients, state and federal agencies, and other engineering disciplines on construction projects
- Recordkeeping and reporting as required
Required
Skills And Experience:
- High school graduate or equivalent plus four (4) years of experience in construction inspection, two (2) years of which shall have been in roadway construction inspection
- Must have the following as required by the scope of work for the project:
- CTQP Concrete Field Inspector Level I
- CTQP Concrete Field Inspector Level II (Bridges)
- CTQP Asphalt Roadway Level I and Level II
- CTQP Earthwork Construction Inspection Level I and Level II
- CTQP Drilled Shaft
- CTQP Final Estimates I
- FDOT Intermediate MOT
Preferred
Skills And Experience:
- Previous roadway asphalt inspection experience
- Critical Structures Construction Issues certification
- FDOT Self Study Computer Based Training (e.g. MSE Wall Inspector)
