Safety Coordinator – Bayonet Plumbing, Heating & Air Conditioning

IES Residential is seeking a proactive and experienced Safety Coordinator to support our Florida operations. This role is instrumental in fostering and strengthening our safety culture across job sites and teams.

• Perform regular and comprehensive safety inspections across residential construction job sites.
• Collaborate with field and management teams to champion a proactive, accountable, and positive safety culture.
• Conduct safety orientations, toolbox talks, and specialized safety trainings.
• Lead safety meetings with field teams and supervisors to address concerns and reinforce safe work practices.
• Promptly respond to workplace incidents, lead investigations, root cause analyses, and develop corrective actions.
• Act as point of contact during OSHA site visits; ensure documentation and procedures are compliant and up-to-date.
• Communicate and enforce company safety policies and procedures effectively.

4–6 years

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a safety-related role, preferably in residential or commercial construction.
• OSHA 500 Certification – Required.
• First Aid/CPR Instructor Certification – Preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish – Mandatory.
• Strong public speaking and interpersonal communication skills.
• Solid understanding of current OSHA standards and regulations.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

• Previous experience in construction safety within residential or electrical environments.
• Demonstrated ability to influence positive change and improve safety metrics in field operations.
• Experience using digital safety platforms, mobile apps, or incident tracking tools.

• Ability to travel up to 50% of the time to many job sites.
